The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed Dallas to Houston High-Speed Rail Project. The proposed project would connect Dallas and Houston with a dedicated High-Speed Rail (HSR) system proposed by a private company, Texas Central Railway (TCR). The proposed route is along Hempstead Road in District A.
The Draft EIS is available for a 60-day public comment period, which will end on February 20, 2018. During this time, FRA will hold 10 public hearings in the affected counties in Texas. The meeting scheduled for Harris County is:
Monday, February 5, 2018
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Woodard Elementary School
17501 Cypress North Houston Rd.
Cypress, TX 77433
In an effort to make sure that this meeting is accessible to everyone, I requested that TCR offer a bus for District A residents to take them to and from the meeting*. Space is limited. The RSVP deadline is Friday, February 2, 2018.

*Please note that this is not an endorsement of this project. We encourage residents to participate.
