How to Report Illegal Dumping:
Call 3-1-1 (or 713-837-0311). Or you can report through the 3-1-1 app. The Hot Team will monitor 3-1-1 calls/app submissions. You can also follow up with the District A Office with your Service Request Number (SR#) (you will be issued this after making your submission to 3-1-1). Please send us that SR# and a photo (if possible) to districta@houstontx.gov. You can also call us at 832-393-3010. My office will supervise the Hot Team’s efforts closely.
Keep in Mind:
- This is not a free pass for individuals to dump in our district. We will deploy illegal dumping cameras to areas that are constant dumping grounds. These cameras are supervised by the Harris County Environmental Crimes Unit, and offenders will be investigated and charged.
- Illegal dumping will only be collected if it is in the City’s right of way. No debris can be collected from private property.
- There are some limitations to the amount of debris that our crews can collect as they only have a trailer and limited manpower to lift weight.
- No large truck tires will be collected.
